These terms cover your use of the Untangle browser extension and this website, both operated by Whimsyware ("we," "us"). By installing the extension or subscribing to a paid tier, you agree to them.

What Untangle is

Untangle is a research tool for eBay and Amazon sellers. It summarizes publicly available feedback, review, and listing data and presents a plain-language read on risk. It does not render a verdict, and it is not a guarantee about any buyer, seller, or listing — it's a starting point for your own judgment, not a replacement for it.

Your responsibility

• You're responsible for complying with eBay's and Amazon's own terms of service while using the extension. Untangle reads pages you're already viewing — it doesn't take actions on your account.
• Any decision you make based on Untangle's output — completing a sale, blocking a buyer, sourcing a listing — is yours. We're not liable for the outcome of that decision.

Plans and billing

• Free and Trial tiers require no payment information.
• Paid subscriptions (Pro Buyer, Pro Seller) are billed by Stripe on the cadence you choose at checkout (annual or semi-annual). Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
• You can cancel anytime; your access continues through the end of the period you already paid for, with no further billing afterward.
• A 14-day full-refund window applies to any purchase or renewal. After that, the paid term runs its course with no refund, but also no further charge once it ends if you've canceled.

Bring-your-own-key (BYOK)

If you provide your own Anthropic API key, you're responsible for any usage charges Anthropic bills you directly for that key. We don't mark up, store, or reuse that key beyond the single request it's provided for.

Acceptable use

Untangle is for your own personal or business research as a seller or buyer. Reselling access, scraping our backend outside the extension's normal use, or attempting to circumvent rate limits or licensing isn't permitted.

No warranty

Untangle is provided as-is. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we don't guarantee the accuracy of any underlying eBay or Amazon data the extension reads — we're summarizing what the platform shows, not independently verifying it.

Changes

We may update these terms or the product itself over time. Material changes to paid plans will be communicated before they take effect.
